Goals for Redesign

For this eCatalog website redesign, our main goals included:

  • Simplifying design for template use across Washington Cedar and California Shingle
  • Implementing seamless navigation between both websites
  • Adding a homepage masthead video option
  • Updating content

Website Design & Functionality Highlights

For the design of this eCatalog website, our design team focused on creating a simplified and cohesive aesthetic that could seamlessly serve both Washington Cedar and its sister company, California Shingle. Recognizing the need for a unified online presence, we introduced a clean, navigable interface that facilitates easy toggling between the two brands. The inclusion of a dynamic homepage masthead video option was a strategic choice aimed at capturing visitor interest from the first moment, enhancing user engagement through compelling content.

This website was developed on FusionCMS, a content management system chosen for its robust flexibility and ease of use, particularly for managing content across mirrored sites. By leveraging FusionCMS, we were able to ensure that any updates or changes made to one site could be easily applied to the other, streamlining the management process. This platform also allowed us to showcase the companies' product catalogs, location information, and an engaging blog, enhancing the overall user experience and supporting the client's marketing strategies.
